If you love cats and kittens you will love this!!
The Australian Cat Federation National Cat Show is Australia’s biggest cat show and is hosted each year in a different State. A cat lover’s delight, it attracts cats and their owners from across the country. On display are the “best of the best” pedigreed cats as well as new breeds that you may not have seen before and lots of pet and rescue cats.
Organisers CatsWA are expecting to see several hundred cats entered in the show which will be eight rings over two days for the very first time. Judges are coming from across Australia and overseas to pick the winners. Traveling from Albuquerque New Mexico, Vicki Shields and Dr Adriana Kajon of The International Cat Association. They will be joined by judges from the UK, USA, Europe and New Zealand as well as distinguished judges from Perth and interstate.
Cats will compete for top placings in their sections as well as the coveted “Supreme In Show”. There are prizes for the winners but most people entering are competing for that special rosette that marks their cat as one of the best.
Among the breeds entered are the popular Ragdolls, Russians, Persians, Maine Coons, British Shorthairs, Abyssinians, Bengals and Burmese. We also have rarer breeds entered including Burmillas, Balinese, Manx, Mandalay and the always popular hairless Sphynx.
The show is open to the public from 10.00am each day. Entry is $5 for adults and $10 for a family.
