Patrick Wolf – 12 December 09

PATRICK_WOLF

Patrick Wolf is headed to Australia for the Meredith Music Festival, but also performs in Perth for the first time, at Capitol on Saturday 12 December 2009.

Visceral, Impulsive, Antagonistic and Unique; the list of superlatives and adjectives for this young man and his music go on ad infinitum. Never one to conform to artistic nor industry status quo, young Master Wolf could rightly claim pole position at the vanguard of avant-garde pop. His wonderfully willful compositions and forays into the glamorous aesthetic of leather, chains, glitter and feathers only exalt the kind of compelling self- awareness we find so irresistible.

Sia performs in Perth at the Astor Theatre, Mt Lawley, on Tuesday 24 November 2009.

From the quiet of Adelaide suburbia this true talent emerged, collecting accolades and fans along the way. In the UK Sia made a name as the jazz infused vocalist of Zero 7 with Mercury shortlists and Grammy nominations. From there she moved to New York where she would establish herself as an artist in her own right with a music style all of her own, combing that beautifully sincere voice with the cheeky humour she’s become so renowned for.
