Slipknot return to Australia for their All Hope is Gone 2008 world tour, their first visit since they stormed the main stages at the 2005 Big Day Out.
It’s happening at Robinson Pavilion on Thursday 30 October 2008, and Machine Head are the support.

At the turn of the millennium, Slipknot erupted onto the heavy music scene and their first three albums reset the course of the Metal genre. Multi million selling, three albums have been released, all platinum. Their massive popularity was acknowledged when, after being nominated for the sixth time in The Grammys for Best Metal Performance, Slipknot won the coveted award in 2006 for the track “Before I Forget”.

At their left hand will be the mighty Machine Head, pioneers of a brutal new sound Machine Head’s influential and ferocious debut Burn My Eyes was released in 1994. Several albums later Machine Head returned to the highest echelons of the metal world with the 2007 album The Blackening.

Pendulum will be touring Australia for their ‘In Silico’ tour, and will be bringing their live set of drum&bass to Perth at Robinson Pavilion on Saturday 19 April 2008 and Metro City on Sunday 20 April.

Pendulum formed in their home-town of Perth (Werstern Australia) in 2002, when producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen teamed up with acclaimed local DJ Paul ‘Elhornet’ Harding. After selling more than 100,000 units of their debut artist album “Hold Your Colour”, remixing for such respected artists as The Prodigy, being play-listed and featuring regularly on BBC Radio 1, all whilst continuing to tour the world over as DJs…Pendulum decided that was finally time to take things to the next level – performing live.

On their previous whirlwind visit, Sum 41 left thousands of fans pining for tickets and a national tour. As the selected few witnessed, Sum 41 are more powerful than ever, spitting in the face of the establishment and delivering amazing live shows.

Who can forget the image etched into our minds of The Vandals creating some of the biggest circle pit dust bowls back in 2002…Warren standing on speaker stacks with nothing more than a thin line of gortex between private parts and disconcerting eyes.

The unswervingly upbeat Bowling For Soup have been threatening an Australian tour for years…and what a kick ass lineup to pop their cherry on! Bowling for Soup will be bringing their gleefully unsophisticated songs about losing in love, hanging out with your mates and drinking lots of beer.
