John Forrest National Park

Today we walked around John Forrest NP with ‘the in laws’ which took a bit of effort, because it was hot.

Then we had a real Aussie bbq. :D

John Forrest National Park is east of Midland, along the Great Eastern Highway in the Hills. It will cost about $9 per car, or free if you have the annual national parks pass (which is about $52).

Mundaring Weir

Yesterday we drove to Mundaring Weir Hotel, via Lesmurdie and Kalamunda.
Once there we went for a long walk to the Weir, and later the other way too. We spotted a blue tong lizard (bob tail).

Later we had a nice dinner in the hotel. This was all to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary which is today.
This morning on the way home we stopped at John Forrest National Park, where we saw another bob tail.
