Birds of Tokyo perform an acoustic show at Burswood Theatre on Friday 6 November 2009.

Two years in the making; the Broken Strings Tour will not only see Birds Of Tokyo in full acoustic mode, but the band will also be accompanied by a grand pianist and string quartet.

Delicately and painstakingly, the band have reinterpreted their own music – arranging it for the Broken Strings Tour format – and have worked closely with renowned producer, composer and long-time collaborator, Anthony Cormican, who has scored the entire concert specifically for an orchestral arrangement.

The White Album concert featuring Chris Cheney from The Living End, Phil Jamieson from Grinspoon, Josh Pyke and Tim Rogers will be performed in Perth on Tuesday 11 August 2009 at Burswood Theatre.

In 1968 The Beatles released one of the most diverse and compelling albums of all time. Recorded in the months after the Beatles returned disillusioned from India, their manager dead, their break up in sight, and wracked with internal tensions, the double White Album was immediately hailed as one of the most extraordinary, powerful albums in the history of music: a work of unparalleled influence and brilliance. The White Album ranged from rock ‘n roll, soul, blues, country, folk and vaudeville to reggae, and was a spiritual, political and personal revelation that still reverberates today.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary year of this extraordinary album four of Australia’s most respected and popular rock performers backed by a 17 piece band made up of the country’s finest musicians will perform The White Album.

Shannon Noll brings his In The Raw, “In Conversation & Acoustic” tour to Perth and performs at Burswood Theatre on Friday 21 August 2009.

Fans have enthusiastically embraced the intimate, two hour show, which is composed of three parts – an initial set of acoustic covers handpicked by Shannon, a question and answer session on stage with host Nick Bennett, which allows fans to throw questions at Shannon for his response, and a final set featuring acoustic variations of Shannon’s much-loved hits plus songs from his repertoire that are his own personal favourites.
