Do you know what you need to do this weekend? Go get some culture into you. When was the last time you went to the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts? Do you even know where the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts is? Do you know where I put my keys? Unrelated question but I thought you might know. There is always something happening at PICA, from art exhibitions to stage productions. One such production Heart of Gold is now playing at PICA and promises to entertain you in ways that you wish your parter would try every so often but never does. So why don’t you pop down this week? I know you wanna.
If that was too high brow for you, why not lower your brow and get some pop music into you this weekend? Britney Spears has arrived in Perth for the weekend as part of her Australian Tour. “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” is a first of it’s kind, incorporating a dazzling display of music, dance, magic and theatrics into the years biggest spectacle. With its cast of nearly 50 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats and a traveling staff of over 200, the 50 million dollar extravaganza will travel Australia with an unprecedented 60 tons of equipment in 34 trucks for what is sure to be the most electrifying musical event ever. Do you want to check out her concert for $50? Well you sure can by visiting this link!
According to Jamie (resident EP! pet detective, citrus fruit dyer and meteorologist), the weekend will be cloudy at times with a chance of a shower however it’ll fine up by Sunday which will be a perfect excuse to head on over to Sandalford Winery to catch five classic Australian acts on stage. Kasey Chambers, with special guest Shane Nicholson, The Whitlams, James Reyne, Ross Wilson and Dragon will all take the stage for this afternoon show.
Whatever you do this weekend, we hope you go out and Enjoy Perth!
