The annual Fremantle Festival is held this week, from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November 2008.
The key free events are:
Festival Opening Event with local bands – Princess May Park from 6pm-9pm on Friday 14th
Wardarnji Aboriginal Cultural Celebration – Esplanade Reserve from 3pm to 8.30pm on Saturday 15th
Carnival Day, Lotterywest Street Parade(4pm) and Bhangra Street Dance Party – South Terrace (street closed) from midday till 9pm on Sunday 16th
The theme for the 2008 Fremantle Festival is TRANSFORM. We want the 2008 Festival to come to life with people really inspired by how Fremantle is transforming in so many ways. It’s also a chance to celebrate the transformation the city has undergone since the first festival in 1905, and to look forward to the Fremantle of the future.
