Pete Murray – 4 January 2009

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Pete Murray is coming to the Southbound Festival in Busselton on 3 January, but he will also perform a sideshow at Fremantle Arts Centre on Sunday 4 January 2009.

Pete Murray stands tall amongst Australian songwriters with his formidable fusion of roots/rock guts and a subtle, intimate touch that nods to the balladeering greats.
He is quintessentially Australian, yet with a global mantra that’s seen his music breach national barriers and seduce hearts worldwide.

Support from: WA bred and Melbourne based tunesmith Carus, Perth’s own psychedelic rockers The Panda Band and South Africa’s Chris Letcher.

It’s an 18+ licensed gig and gates open at 5.30pm (so don’t be too slow packing up your tent and driving back up to Perth if you’re going to Southbound! :P ).

Tickets are $55 + booking fee and available soon from heatseeker.com.au or Fremantle Arts Centre, Mills Records, Planet Video, Star Surf and all Live Clothing stores.

Former Tea Party front man Jeff Martin and legendary percussionist Wayne Sheehy are on a mission. Drawing on the pairs vast experience of both studio and live performance, this album is a declaration of intent. This is where east meets west, past meets future, now meets then, light meets shade, they shake hands and slug it out.

Shane Warne The Musical – March 2009

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Shane Warne the Musical, with Eddie Perfect as the man himself, will be performed in Perth from 18 to 31 March 2009 at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.

Shane Warne The Musical is a leg-spun yarn about what it means to fall arse-backwards into the Australian Dream and emerge a champion. In a country that routinely lops its tall poppies, this show sets out to both celebrate and understand the life of cricket’s most adored and maligned hero as he battles fame, failure, fidelity and the ferocious Australian media.
A sizzling live band and an exceptional cast bring to life a brilliant score which fuses soul, gospel, rock, power ballads, drum n bass, opera and even a touch of Bollywood.

Tickets on sale now from Ticketek for $75 or $85 depending on which day or time you go.

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

pink

P!nk returns to Australia and performs in Perth on Friday 22 and 23 May AND 7 and 8 August at Burswood Dome.

Faker were the support during the May shows, but Evermore will be the support during the August shows.

Doors open 7.15pm.

In 2007 P!nk staged the biggest Australian concert tour ever by a female artist, with more than 307,000 tickets sold for a 35 show itinerary that grew to a run of more than 8 weeks around the country’s arenas.
Now P!nk brings her Funhouse Tour 2009 to Australia, for what is certain to be another record-breaking run of shows. Aiming to top the raunchy theatrical performances of the I’m Not Dead Tour, Funhouse will not disappoint!
Expect a dazzling carnival-styled stage set, feats of aerial daring and surprises that can only be hinted at… and at the core, the confident and charismatic vocal powerhouse that is unmistakably P!nk .
