Paul Weller (ex-lead singer The Jam) returns to Australia after 20 years, and performs in Perth at Challenge Stadium on Wednesday 13 August 2008.
Bursting onto the music scene in 1977 as leader singer of The Jam, Paul Weller fronted the most popular British band of the punk era, influencing legions of English rockers ranging from Oasis to Ocean Colour Scene.
Between their 1977 debut single release “In The City” to their break-up in 1982 The Jam charted 18 consecutive Top 40 singles in the UK, including four #1 hits – “Going Underground”, “Start”, “Town Called Malice” and their last single release “Beat Surrender”.
