The Fratellis

SOLD OUT

The Fratellis come to Australia for the first time, and perform at Capitol in Perth on Thursday 31 July 2008.

THE FRATELLLIS wasted no time in becoming Scotland’s biggest export to the world thanks to their cracker 2006 debut album, Costello Music.
The new release, Here We Stand, is due to hit Australian stores on June 7.

Live, we can look forward to Jon Fratelli leading his boys, Barry Fratelli and Mince Fratelli, through a set that highlights the band’s new tricks (and old favourites) featuring 70’s guitar solos and piano parts coupled with the blissful Fratelli-esque ‘oh la la’ and ‘bah da das’ that seems to break smiles on the faces of anyone in hearing range.

Special Guests To Be Announced.

Tickets on sale from Moshtix from 5 June.

Voted the seventh greatest stand-up comedian of all time on Channel 4 (UK) in 2007, Bailey is best known in this country for his role in the ABC comedy series “Black Books” as the now-legendary beardy weirdo Manny Bianco, long suffering book shop assistant to Bernard Black. This time all of his band mates will join him as well as a three-piece horn section, for the biggest show Mraz has ever brought to Australia.

The songsmith won over new fans across this big brown land in March of this year when he took the stage at the Blues Festivals in Perth, Victoria and Byron Bay.

The forward-thinking Swedish titans, who seamlessly and fluidly combine metal, classic rock, prog, folk and free form jazz, continue the time-honored Opeth tradition on Watershed, their ninth album. Watershed picks up where 2005’s flawless Ghost Reveries left off, beginning contemplatively before erupting into full-bore chaos. The band are also bolstered by the addition of some new membership. Drummer Martin Axenrot and new guitarist Fredrik Åkesson, formerly of Arch Enemy.
Opeth will continue to hold the mantle of the most innovative, creative and revered heavy artist of recent times with the release of Watershed…an album no doubt poised to extend their reputation as masters in the genre.
