Perth Medieval Fayre – 5 April 2008

Perth Medieval Fair The annual Perth Medieval Fayre will be held at the Supreme Court Gardens from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 5 April 2008.

The Fayre is held suitably close to All Fools Day, a folk celebration that began to appear in Europe in the late Middle Ages.

A plethora of Perth’s medieval clubs will be on display showing off their various talents including historical European swordsmanship, dark ages combat, renaissance fencing and swashbuckling. The fayre is rich with traditions, full of exciting and thrilling misadventures, storytellers and tales, all set in a time where chivalry, grace and courtesy were a part of everyday life.

Entry is $5 and $3 for concession and for those in costume. Children under 13 are free.

See the WA Medieval Alliance website for more details.
