Edward Scissorhands - 1 to 6 July 08
Mathew Bourne (the one who brought the all male Swan Lake last year) brings Edward Scissorhands to Perth in July 2008. This spectacular dance theatre production will be performed at His Majesty’s Theatre from 1 to 6 July.
Once upon a time, there was a boy who had scissors instead of hands. His name⦠was Edward. In 1990, film director Tim Burton created a character that touched the hearts of millions.Edward Scissorhands is breathtakingly adapted for the stage by maverick director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, whose multi-award winning dance theatre productions have dazzled audiences the world over. This production premieres in Australia after an extensive UK and US tour. Using an artistic trademark that runs through much of his work, Bourne uses music and movement alone to tell the story. A gothic fairytale. A moving love story. An uplifting stage spectacular for family and friends.
Tickets on sale NOW through BOCS, from $95 to $130.
