There is a World Wide Fan Club at http://www.AndreRieuFans.com

Everyone is posting their stories and photographs of Andre’s concerts.

It is a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see him in Perth!

André does not like FAN CLUBS, he has made a point on several occasions about this. There are several Fansites, one in Australia, a couple in America and also in Europe as well as Brazil.

Everyone is NOT posting their stories and photographs to the abovementioned site, this is misleading the readers and false advertising.

If one is going to be fair to both André and his fans, they should be made aware of the other Fansites, not just one in particular.

There is also the official Australian website for Andre Rieu.

I agree with Jeanette’s comments. I read many sites in both Australia and America. André has his own site in The Netherlands too. I read them all but have 3 favourites – 1 in Australia, 1 in America and André’s official site. I have been to the last concert in Melbourne. What an experience. I look forward to the concerts in Sydney at the end of the month. Hope everyone enjoys the concert in Perth. You are in for an André treat.

Jeanette is correct, Andre does not like fan clubs.
We do not have a fanclub but I started a website dedicated to Andre and his JSO in 2002 and made friends around the world through it. The site started out with translations from Dutch and German into English. At the time Andre was not that well known in the English speaking world and through my translations I gave the English speaking fans more information about our Meastro. By now my site ‘Andre Rieu translations’, and the news part of my site ‘the Harmony Parlor’ works together with the Australian site, several German sites and a Dutch site. We have the latest news and the Dutch site even has the latest Dutch and German videos with subtitles. Come join us on our sites and meet fans from around the world.
Enjoy your concert in Perth, I know you are all going to love it.

I would like to say that although Andre does not like fan clubs, things have changed with the internet. There are several fan sites that are all good. They may not all share but at andrerieufans.com we have all the latest information and we will share with all who will share with us. We are dedicated to Andre and you will always see the best comments and entries as we choose to be a positive and well thought out fan site. Please enjoy all of them but please visit All of them.

I find that the websites are very informative and helpful. I particularly enjoy the Australian site as it very relevant and up to date with our local news particularly during this time when so much is happening so quickly in Australia. As previously mentioned there are other sites in Europe, America and André’s own site which I read daily too. It is great to see that the sites co-operate and share their information but know where the boundaries lie. The internet has truly made the world a smaller place and far more accessible.
Hope everyone enjoys the André experience in whatever form you can.

Like Marg I also enjoy the Australian site, it is informative and I like to support all things Australian. I also visit the official website to verify concert dates and the excellent stories they have in picture form. For history I prefer the Translations site which goes back many years and you can look back over the years and see how Andre’s career has grown. Iused to look at the andrerieufans site but soon tired of it as they seem to spend more time celebrating dead composers birthdays and writing love poems to Andre’s wife. Another problem I found was leaving comments, if I wasn’t agreeing with what they were saying, your comments were never published. I visit three other guestbooks and you are allowed to have your own opinion, although on the official website unless your comments are sugar and spice, they don’t publish either.
A lot of publicity was given to the small numbers attending the Adelaide concerts, I believe this made the concerts more intimate and everyone had a ball.
Thank you Andre for a wonderful evening and we will see you again next year.

Jeanette is way off base about http://www.andrerieufans.com We have a wealth of information on Andre and the JSO. This site was in existence before all the others. Occasionally we have entries on Composers and other interesting people. Where would André be without the music of these “dead composers”. He loves them and so do we at this site.

As for the poem, that was a special poem for André to give to his wife and was put on his official web site. We publish all comments, even those who disagree but we will not tolerate any rude or distasteful comments about André, his JSO nor anyone on the site. I have seen many rude comments and certainly not in good taste comments about André on the Aussie fan site such as calling him names I would not use and referring to “nighttime jobs with André. This is not what AndreRieuFans is about. We honor his achievements and his dreams. Go see for yourself.
I hope everyone will have a beautiful time at the concerts! Thanks

It has been forcast for thunderstorms on Saturday. Does anyone know if this will effect the show?

I saw the Australian site with it’s “working the nightshift with Andre” crude remarks and never went back. Same thing for the Sonja site where she photograhed herself under a blanket she said looked like Andre’s and had some title like “In Bed With Andre Rieu”. I do not look at smut and have not returned to any site where the old hags have nothing better to do that make nasty remarks about Andre in such a disrspectful way.
