Air will perform their first ever Australian concert in Perth, at an open air show in King’s Park, on Thursday 27 March 2008 (after that they join the V Festival line-up in the other cities).
AIR come to Australia on the back of their critically acclaimed “Pocket Symphonyâ€, co-produced by Nigel Godrich.
Masters of all things ‘French’, atmospheric, and electronic, Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin are modernists. AIR embrace the new. Each album is a move away from the last and a journey towards something else. Since their breakthrough single, ‘Sexy Boy’ they have charmed and challenged in equal parts with a sound that points towards Moog and synthesizer of the 70s while reaching out towards the future.
Special guests: Resort and New Buffalo. Future Dog DJing between sets.
Gates open 5pm.
Tickets are on sale 22 February from Ticketmaster for $100.

King’s Oark sounds like a gorgeous place for this event.
argh, was just editing it :p
Haha, beat me to the typo!
their latest album is called Pocket Symphony – not Pocket Sympathy :) I’m so excited about this gig – i didn’t think they would ever tour Perth!
Oh bugger, another typo, shows how quickly I wrote this, argh! Thanks!
Enjoy the gig :)
Everyone’s coming to Perth these days! (ok, nearly…)
The Backstreet Boys didn’t come to Perth- they were in Brisbane only a couple of days ago.
I know, that’s why I said nearly :p
Ok, still a fair ammount that don’t, but wayyyyyy less than in earlier years.
Pocket Sympathy would actually be a pretty cool album name… as opposed to the real name that is quite dull.

Ticket master is down… I don’t want to purchase tickets over the mail… Where are the venues that sell tickets… I will give up a life changing career seminar to see Air!
It’s not down! I’m there right now (coincidentally!).
