Edit: West Coast Blues n Roots 2008 first line-up announcement has now been made, and it’s a bit different to the East Coast one, so I’ve started a new post.

The first round of artists have been announced for the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in 2008. But this is a sister event of the West Coast Blues and Roots, so we can expect a very similar, if not identical, line-up here in Fremantle.
So the suspected line-up (confirmed for East Coast):

Sinead O’Connor
Keith Urban
John Butler Trio
The Black Crowes
Wilco
Eskimo Joe
Gotye
Maceo Parker
Vusi Mahlasela
Mavis Staples
Hopefully there will be an official announcement for the West Coast Blues n Roots soon, and of course this is only the first round of announcements, many more artists will be added!
The West Coast Blues n Roots will be held over two days on 15 and 16 March 2008. I expect it will again be held on the Esplanade in Fremantle.
