John Butler Trio John Butler Trio and The Waifs team up to give a series of concerts around Australia Day in January 2008, in some beautiful locations throughout Western Australia!

Having both grown as strong independent acts that are now making waves around the world, the John Butler Trio and The Waifs are undoubtedly two of WA’s most prolific acts and they are thrilled to announce a special series of shows under the banner of The Union of Soul.

Perth Metro area:

  • Fremantle Arts Centre – Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 January 2008
  • Belvoir Amphitheatre – Friday 25 January 2008 (Australia Day eve)

The Waifs South west:

  • Madfish Wines, Denmark – Saturday 26 January 2008
  • Leeuwin Estate, Margaret River – Sunday 27 January 2008

For the last three shows, the John Butler Trio and The Waifs will be supported by Clare Bowditch & The Feeding Set.

Tickets on sale online at Heatseeker on Friday 9th November and in outlets Mon 12th November, for around $70.

    Dear John and friends

    We’re going to the Trio/Waifs concert on Churchill Island next weekend (well, we have tickets), but there’s no public transport at all. It’s not possible to travel from Melbourne to Philip Island on Sunday, Feb. 3rd, that gets there in time (there’s a train/bus trip that gets in around 6 pm). There’s nothing going back, either.

    It’s too far to ride a bike.

    Any suggestions?

    The chance that John reads my blog is very slim… I’d recommend contacting the promoter of the gig, or John through his own website.
