The line-up for Soundwave 2008 has been announced!
Soundwave Festival is happening in Perth on Monday 3 March 2008 (public holiday), at Bassendean (Steel Blue) Oval.
The line-up consists of 36 international bands/artists, and 4 Australian bands!

It’s a licensed all ages event and there will be multiple stages, an international food market, multiple bars, artist signing tents, market stalls and more.
Tickets go on sale 30 October through the Soundwave website and Ticketmaster, but you can register for early bird tickets on the Soundwave website now (early bird tickets will be $99, and will sell out quickly!).

you can get 99 dollar early bird tcikets from the site but they might not post till afterwards or might require a second payment, then after 30th october you can buy from both their site and ticketmaster. might be 100-120 or soemthing like that

Is it true that a number of bands have dropped out? Such as Chiodos, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Plain White T’s etc? :o Coz that would suck!
Yeah it is true – Chiodos and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have dropped out; and *sob* so have Boys Like Girls – theyre not coming to Perth as far as i know. But as for Plain White T’s im pretty sure they are still going – ive been looking around the sites pretty regularly for the last week or so and ive heard nothing about them dropping out.
if they have, thats going to be tragic.
My only complaint about SW this year is the clashes – its pretty good (timetable can be found at http://www.myspace.com/soundwave) but Plain White T’s, All Time Low and Sugarcult are all on at the same time : (

just wondering what time the soundwave in perth, started and finished?
Not sure… First band played at 11.40am, and last band finished at 10.50pm. Well, that’s what the timetable says.
I didn’t get there till 2pm, and left at around 10.45 I think.
