News:Â Concert will now be at Challenge Stadium and tickets on sale via Ticketmaster. (previously Supreme Court Garden, through Ticketek)
Josh Groban is coming to Perth for his ‘Awake’ tour, and will perform at the Challenge Stadium on 14 October 2007 with his 6 piece band, full orchestra and choir!
His current CD “Awake”, which debuted on the US charts at No. 2 is currently No. 5 on the Australian charts and has sold well over two and 1/2 million copies worldwide. It includes several Groban penned and produced songs along with musical contributions from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dave Matthews, Glen Ballard, Eric Mouquet, John Ondrasik (Five For Fighting), Marius DeVries, David Foster, Imogene Heap and Herbie Hancock. It contains songs in Italian, Spanish and of course English.
Tickets are on sale from Ticketmaster.
I live in Virginia, USA and have a ticket to see Josh in Norfolk, VA. I’m pumped! He is amazing…
I can’t wait to see him here in Perth. Does anybody have the seating plans for the Supreme Court Gardens?
Oh oh, the page has dissapeared from the ticketek site, and the Perth show isn’t mentioned on the promoters website either! http://www.dcegroup.com/events2007/joshgroban.shtml
It must have got cancelled!! How annoying!
I have the concert tickets, and according to his official website he will be playing at the Supreme Court Gardens. The dcegroup website never had his Perth gig on their announcement anyway, so I haven’t the slightest idea why it is no longer on ticketek. Just have to ring up and find out.
Ohhh, ok, I’ll look into it tomorrow, thanks for letting me know :)
I rang ticketek this morning and they informed me that the Josh Groban concert at the Supreme Court Gardens was still on. Ticket sales for the gerneral public doesn’t start until the 25th of this month, and that’s when they’ll have the ad back up again. Well, that’s what Marisa from ticketek told me anyway. I hope that’s the case, otherwise I’d be really, really sad and upset if it was cancelled.
Thanks heaps Farida, I’ve been sooo busy at work today, not had time.
I’ve edited the post above again, I’ll wait and see what happens on Monday, see if it’s back on Ticketek.
It’s back on there, phew!

Thanks for that, Simone. I’m still a little bit perplexed though, as to why no ad of Josh Groban’s upcoming tour has been shown on either medias (newspaper, tv). The Lionel Ritchie concert at the Sandalford Wines has been plastered all over the place and it isn’t until December. Come on DCE group and Dream Entertainment, what are you guys doing?
Is it because he’s so hot, he doesn’t need to be advertised anymore (he he he)? I hope so.
I just went to the Ticketek website and all the information was there.. prices and venue map and everything. I don’t think anyone has anything to worry about..
there’s going to be a concert.. and i’m soo stoked yayyy!!!!
happy dance!!!

The Ticketek website now says that Josh Groban will no longer be playing at Supreme Court Gardens. It says ppl who have bought tickets will be notified, well I haven’t been yet. Does anyone know where his concert has been moved to? I hope this doesn’t mean it is cancelled!
I have to say that Ticketek, DCE Group and Dream Entertainment have handled the promotion of Josh’s Perth concert rather poorly. I hardly heard a peep in the medias, now this happens! I truly hope they will not cancel, but let people know ASAP where it has moved to. I also hope that the seating that we have booked for will not change!
I live in Melbourne, but I was thinking about heading over to Perth for Josh’s final Aussie show. And an outdoor venue appealed to me too. I’ve never been — is the Supreme Court Gardens big? How many ppl does it hold. I too agree that Josh’s promotion in Australia has been poor. Although 4 sold out shows in Sydney and 3 in Melbourne defy the odds. Other artists get flogged on tv and radio left and right, and their cd’s advertised during peak times, not 2am or 4am like Josh’s cd’s are.
Ticketek says it will now be at Challenge Stadium – YUK!
Worst Venue Eva! The new ticketing company will be reissuing tickets – hopefully they do it so ppl with good seats still get good seats and not some random process!
I agree with you Farida, organisation and promotion of this tour has been really poor. I haven’t seen one advert for Josh’s tour. He should play at Perth Concert Hall.
Thanks for all the updates guys, I’ll just keep updating the post above with new info as it comes through. Yes, it’s all been handles very strangley, how annoying!
Yes, Ticketmaster is now handling the ticket sales. I spoke to a rep today, but she was no help. Nobody seems to know anything. I should have bought tickets for the Melbourne concerts!!! Drat!
I have 4 tickets front row for perth 14th october cant wait. shoudl be a good night
How nice for you Tim, I mean REALLY….. I gather you have your re-issued tickets??
Otherwise I have news for you buddy!!!! :P Unless you were one of the first to buy tickets, you cant be sure…it is based on a timestamp of when you bought….not what seats you have….sorry :P…
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE and I hope they get the seats they were PROMISED in the beginning!!!!!!!
Not at all impressed with the handling of moving Grobie’s show to challenge stadium. I bought my tickets on the first day of sales, getting block A1 seats…pretty much close the stage…got my re-issued tickets from ticketmaster yesterday at the end of the day….block 105 pretty much toward the back of the stadium…away from the stage….not impressed at all! …Reallocation should have been based on seats you were allocated not on the time stamp…get your act together Ticketmaster
I went to see Josh Groban at the Sydney Opera house on Thursday 04/10/07 … and let me tell you guys … IT WAS FANTASTIC … Im from Perth and went over especially for the concert … I may have to go to the Perth concert as well now … lol … enjoy it … and have your camera’s ready cos he goes for a walk through the crowd !!!
Sounds amazing! I can’t wait. Just 5 more days to go! I’m going to be one of those people who will be crying like an idiot throughout the entire concert! OMJ! I must get a grip!
Went to the concert last night. It was FANTASTIC !!!!!!
Josh was brilliant, funny and sooo gorgeous. Had the greatest night ever. Thanks so much for coming to Perth Josh. Got so many great pictures too as I was so close to the stage. Thanks again Josh.
