The 8th Totally Huge New Music Festival is held from Friday 20 April to Sunday 6 May 2007.
From orchestral extravaganzas and sound galleries to wire installations across the Swan River, the Totally Huge New Music Festival provides a captivating showcase of New Chamber Music, Electronica, Installations, Improvisation, Radiophonics, Multimedia and Sound Art by hundreds of musicians from Western Australia and around the world.
This is now a binennial event (which explains why I didn’t come across it last year!) and there are many events which make up this festival, some of which you wil need to book tickets for, which you will find at the BOCS website.

* William Barton (Bris) – indigenous composer and didgeridoo player
* Stump-Linshalm (Austria) – virtuosic Austrian clarinet duo

The Finale is held on Saturday 5 May at the Art Gallery of WA featuring The Song Company, Barton and Edwardes. This unique All Star performance of voice, percussion, didgeridoo, and cello will be a virtuosic celebration of Australian New Music.
