Lady Sovereign – 20 March 07

Lady Sovereign, ‘South London’s princess of grime’, is coming to Perth and performing will a full live band at Club Capitol on Tuesday 20 March 2007. The support includes Bumblebeez (live), Party Club DJs, Fat Len v Ben Mac and Rok Riley.

Her virgin voyage in the album format, Public Warning, is doing the business around the world, with her sound and shtick landing her somewhere between Lil Kim and Lily Allen mixed with Princess Superstar and a precociously bratty female Mike Skinner.

Tickets on sale from Heatseeker on Monday 5 February, for $50 + bf

my 13 year old daughter is a mad lady sovereign fan, she is extremely disappointed that she cannot go to the concert because of the venue its held in. is there any chance of her doing another at a site where teenagers can attend?

Sorry Amy, I think it’ll be impossible at such late notice.

First of all, just to be clear, I’m not organising this event, so can’t do anything to help anyway.

In the past (the My Chemical Romance concert at Metro City), their was a lot of petitioning done by the underage crowd (emails to promoters, online petition etc etc), and they eventually made it an all ages event and moved it to an earlier time. But this was another venue, another promoter, and started as soon as the concert was announced.

I also doubt they’d add another show at such late notice, but if you want to pursue further, try contacting heatseeker who are selling the tickets
