The inaugural West End Festival will be held from Friday 24 November to Saturday 2 December 2006, and celebrates life in the City’s West End!

The festival showcases the area’s diverse mix of arts, cultures and social hubs, in between King Street, Wellington Street and the Mitchell Freeway.
Most events are held from Monday to Friday, because of the local business community.

On Friday 24 November there are lots of opening events on King Street from midday to 9pm, including dance performances, fashion parades, cooking demonstrations, live music, duelling dj’s, cocktail flaring and flame throwing!

On the same day, from 5.30pm to 7pm, QV.1’s Plaza will transform into Circus City and host Perth’s Biggest Office Party with live entertainment, including the band Taxi Ride.

On Friday 1 December there’s a Christmas party at Rigby’s Bar from 5.30pm with free tastings, $5 cocktails and a free sausage sizzle.

And on Saturday 2 December is the final big event for the festival, at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre from 7pm. ‘The Face of Perth 2007 Final’ is a modelling and fashion show, and includes performances by model Erica Baxter who is launching her singing career, and Sneaky Sound System, who are the support for the Robbie Williams tour. Tickets from about $30 for general admission through to $150 for table seating and a 3 course meal with drinks.
