Side Track’d at Ascot Racecourse is about great bands, and viewing the BMW Perth Cup from the trackside and on big screens. This is the first year this event is held, as part of the several events happening at the Perth Cup on New Year’s Day, 1 January 2007.
The awesome line-up includes The Living End, Evermore, Something for Kate, The Beautiful Girls, The Grates, Fdel (live), The Kill Devil Hills and Dj Nick Sheppard (ex-Clash).
SIDE TRACK’D 2007 is a daytime festival that combines the excitement and glamour of the races with a jam-packed entertainment schedule to celebrate a fresh start to the New Year, including street performers and aerial artists, massive video screens featuring the bands and the races, bars, food outlets, relaxing shaded areas and more – all trackside!
Tickets are $99 or $250 for a Tentland package, which includes entry to a marquee, the main racecourse, a gourmet lunch and beverage package.
Tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster on Wednesday 15 November. A pdf brochure about the Side Tracked is available at the Perth Racing website here. And I’ll do another post about other events for the Perth Cup soon.

that is VERY annoying
I can imagine it must be :(
damn i just won 2 free tix to Side Tracke’D and im only 15
I am trying to get rid of one of my tickets. My friend bailed on me! :(
Will sell for less than $99 if anyone is interested.
It will be an awesome show, so Im still going.
how was it?
pretty poorly organised actually. sidetracked didn’t include entry to the general admission section of the Perth cup…as was advertised. And the bands didnt play for very long. The grates got cut out half way through because of the Perth cup presentations…and all together probably played 4 or 5 songs. definately not worth $99.
Ah geez, how annoying! If they do it again next year, hopefully it will be much better organised!
