In The City AAA - November 2008?

Update February 07: this event is not going ahead in 2007, as the main organiser will not be available. So it should be going ahead for 2008.

After the The West reporting about this on Thursday, Tourism Minister Sheila McHale has now announced this new international event for Perth.

The Minister said that over the four-day event, music gurus would attend conferences during the day, then watch new and unsigned bands play in venues around Perth at night – meaning Western Australian music lovers also had access to great bands.

The first event will be held in ~~November 2007~~ and will probably be attended by more than 500 people, with many more expected during 2008 and 2009 events, and maybe even beyond that.
In The City was first held in Manchester in 1992, and has helped launch the careers of bands like Oasis, Coldplay, Catatonia, Placebo, and Arctic Monkeys.
