The annual ‘Spring in the Valley’ festival will be held on 7 and 8 October 2006. This is the weekend after the Queens’s Birthday long weekend.
Spring in the Valley ‘is a festival of community spirit, wine, food, art and music at the Swan Valley’s many attractions and wineries and celebrates the people and produce of the Swan Valley region.’Over 50 venues in the the Swan Valley (including wineries, breweries, restaurants, galleries) will participate this year, with a lot of free events.
A few random happenings….
Duckstein Brewery – Oktoberfest – beer, wine, traditional German food, live folk band “Alan and His Band” & DJ Funky.
Cracovia Club and Restaurant – Festival of Polish and European culture, live entertainment, exhibition, market stalls, bouncy castles, Polish beer tasting.
Edgecombe Brothers Winery – wood fired pizza, tasting of all sorts of foodie stuff, mini wagon trail rides, piano and didgeridoo entertainment.
Mash Brewery – craft beers, food, DJ, bucking bronco, sumo wrestling, car shows.
This is totally random, there are heaps of locations with things happening! Including (gourmet) sausage sizzles, live entertainment, and tastings (at most places you can pay a few dollars for a souvenir glass and a couple of tastings).
Lamb is clearly featured this year, but it makes sense when you read that Meat and Livestock Australia are sponsors! :D
Don’t drink and drive! Appoint a skipper, or look into doing a bus tour, or check out the busses that will be running from Midland Train Station. Info here.
Good Evening
I am organising a bus tour for Saturday Spring in the Valley and I have about 10 spare seats – I can send flyer for further details.
If you know of anyone who is looking to join a tour group, can you please pass on my details.
Thank you in advance for your assistance, and if you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
Leeza Wray
