Red Dog, presented by Black Swan Theatre Company, will be performed at Playhouse Theatre from 7 to 21 October 2006. The ‘tail’ will be brought to life using puppetry, music and physical performance.

Born in 1971, ‘Red Dog’, a Kelpie cross, lived the life of a canine hobo. Roaming around the Pilbara, ‘Red Dog’ spent most of his life searching for his owner who died many years before. From Roebourne to Point Samson, Port Hedland to Broome, Tom Price to Perth, the path of Red Dog’s journey took him into many people’s lives. His adventures are now North-West folklore. When he eventually died, Red Dog’s soul became a part of the Pilbara itself.
