The Streets (UK), Kasabian (UK), The Crystal Method (USA), Justice (France), Trivium (USA), John Cooper Clarke (UK), Afra and the Incredible Beatbox Band (Japan), John Butler Trio, Little Birdy, The Presets, Something for Kate, You Am I, Bob Evans, The Drones, The Butterfly Effect and [love] tatoo.
Third and final announcment on 13 December:
The Vines, Snowman, Luciano, Sick Puppies, Digital Primate, Mark Murphy, Dirty Secrets, Calerway, TnT, Birds of Tokyo, Streetlights, Farryle Purkiss & Veeva Feeva, Heavy Weight Champ, Sugar Army, Schvendes, Blue Shaddy, New Rules for Boats, DJ Fdel (DJ set) + Armee MC and the Triple J Unearthed winner.
Tickets are on sale, through the BDO website, Ticketmaster, and all the regular ticket outlets. $115 + booking fee.

And Alice, I’m not that into dance etc music myself, so haven’t been paying much attention to those names. Except Daft Punk, who are a strong rumour (though lots of discussion going on if they’re stage setup would even be possible with the bdo tour….
2.5 weeks, and we’ll hopefully have heard most of the offical line-up….

No! It’s so annoying that we have to wait until beginning of October to hear anything!
Hopefully they’ll make announcements earlier this year!!

Are those dates Perth? Do you know if Auckland will before Perth?
Hmmm, I’ve just been looking more closely at what the dates were LAST YEAR (don’t know anything about this year yet, sorry, I don’t know much at all!)
Last year Auckland came first, then the Gold Coast, then Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and the Perth. But there’s quite a few gaps between those dates, so those Tool and Muse shows could be inbetween some of the BDO dates (so the Perth date could be later than 30 January, like it was last year).
And Auckland could be before the 23rd for example, like last year. I don’t know what it all was in years before, because I’m no expert on the bdo (and wasn’t even living in Australia a few years ago!)
It’s getting a bit confusing now… nothing is certain yet! The BDO website is still showing info from last year!! Would be good if they could at least put up an announcement about when there’ll be an announcement :D
Ok, not sure about the process but I was always under the impression that the Big Day Out was always listed in Perth as being on the first Sunday of February every year.

Only info I could find were the range of past dates, which does look like you’re right for the last couple of years!

The Killers ARE going to BDO-They screwed up on some interview with Channel 3 News (NZ tv station)… They said that they were playing at BDO-and they also said that their new cd is going to be the best CD released in the past 20 years! (Hmmm Massive call!)
I have also heard a strong rumor that My Chemical Romance are goint to be performing?
I don’t know about My Chemical Romance, but on the BDO forums they also say the Killers are pretty much confirmed.
Guns and Roses are also getting lots of mentions…

It is very unlikely Wolfmother will be at any of the BDO’s, they’ve been to the last two!
For anyone from WA: Wolfmother will be at the Southbound Festival in Busselton in January though.
Wolfmother are Led Zepplin Wannabes!!! Yea Stone Sour would be good but they need some real hard bands other than 8 Foot Sativa and Trivium! Soulfly would be mad!
