HomeStyle Show & Sustainable Energy Expo at Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

For anyone planning to build a new home, add an extension, renovate or redecorate, the Tradelink Master Builders HomeStyle Show is the ‘must attend’ event of the year. The Sustainable Energy Development Office (SEDO) of the Government of WA will host the Sustainable Energy Expo alongside the home show.

Entry: Friday- $8.00, Saturday & Sunday- $13.00. Children under 15 Free.
Open 9am – 8pm on Friday, and 9am – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday:

The Great Deck Chair Auction at the Deckchair Theatre (rear of Victoria Hall in Fremantle) at 2pm.

In it’s ninth year THE GREAT DECK CHAIR AUCTION is deckchair theatre’s premier fundraising event that features a stunning collection of painted deck chairs and other works in various art forms by prominent and emerging artists. TICKETS $20 / $15 concession, deckchair theatre members free. Entry includes free drinks and finger food.

Sunday:

2006 St Kilda Film Festival at Luna Cinema in Leederville. This continues on Monday night.

Sunday 6.30pm – The Best of Australia’s Top 100 Short Films, Session 1
Featuring: Dogweed, The Mechanicals, All is Forgiven, A Message from Fallujah, Crooked Mick of the Speewah, Ten Feet Tall, Best Short Film of 2006, Switch.

China Bear Rescue Quiz at the Hyde Park Hotel from 2pm, to raise funds for AnimalsAsia Foundation.

You can also still see real human bodies at the Expo Centre, but the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow has sold out.

Other than these events, there are always plenty of bands to go and see (including You Am I, Kisschasy, the Chili Pepper Funk Fest, Next Big Thing Heat, The Flairz and The Drones), parks to visit, comedy shows to experience (The Big HOO-HAA at the Brisbane Hotel), restaurants to eat at, museums to visit. And then there’s always shopping, cleaning, walking the dog and surfing on the net! ;)
