Sculptures by the Sea and Freo Street Arts Festival

Sunday, March 27th, 2005

This morning we drove back from our weekend in Toodyay, stopping off at Avon National Park (which was closed at 9am, even though it should open at 8 am).

After 2 hours at home, we left for Cottesloe Beach to see “Sculptures by the Sea“, which was very cool.

We then drove onto Fremantle for the annual Street Arts Festival, which was also definitely worth the trip.

It was so much fun we stayed the whole afternoon and evening!

Joondalup Festival

Sunday, March 20th, 2005

Yesterday we went to the Joondalup fesitval. Got there too late to see Nathan Gaunt play, but we saw the parade which was amusing and had some dinner. There also lots of market stalls, and some buskers/street performers.
It was the first time we’d actually been in the centre of Joondalup, and we were pleasantly surprised with the main shopping ’street/alley thing’.

Moon and Sixpence, Perth

Friday, March 18th, 2005

Had a great night out at the Moon and Sixpence with friends. It was busy, as it was St Patricks Day, but luckily we all had room to sit down.

I sort of made up for my unhealthiness lately, and had a nice salad (warm chicken and asparagus, zucchini, eggplant, baby spinach and a bit of dressing).
All of a sudden it was 10 pm, and we had to run for the train!
