WAMJAM 2019 is happening in Perth! Australia’s national parkour gathering for women, girls and non-binary folk comes to the west coast in March. MARCH 29 to APRIL 01, 2019 Various locations around Perth See www.wamjam.com.au for details WamJam is the national Parkour gathering for women, girls and non-binary folk, hosted previously by communities in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

The Perth Parkour community is excited to be hosting WamJam in March 2019, where women, girls and enbies from all over the country (and abroad) will converge to train, learn, jam, connect and play all things Parkour and movement! - This event aims to make parkour, a traditionally male- and youth- dominated discipline, welcoming and accessible to all people, especially women, girls and gender diverse folk.

- Parkour is a physical discipline, focused on moving through any given terrain with speed and efficiency. That means running, jumping, rolling, crawling, climbing, vaulting and playing!
- All events are free, and suitable for all levels of fitness, experience and confidence. The perfect way to learn new movement, get fit and meet new friends!
- Lead by experienced coaches, who have worked across Australia and the world to teach and promote parkour. Brandee Laird from the US will be our guest coach. WamJam is a free community event, and a genuine celebration of our active, nurturing and diverse community of movement lovers.

The theme for WamJam 2019 is Celebrating Diversity, and we are excited to encourage more women, girls and gender-diverse folk of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to give parkour a go.

We’ll be providing intro sessions for everyone, especially people who may face barriers to participation; mothers with young children, deaf and HoH folk, older people, for example. We want to ensure everyone feels safe and welcome and will make every effort to provide all participants with an inclusive and accessible experience.
