School holidays at the WA Museum Discovery Zone - Creature Feature

This event has passed!

There are millions of animal species on our planet and they each have the ability to adapt to their own natural environments. Join the friendly staff at the WA Museum’s Discovery Zone and explore how and why animals come in such a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

13 - 28 April, 10am - 2pm

There are different ways animals adapt to their own environment - some use creative defences and some use clever camouflage. In the 3D Fish Fun craft activity you can create your own fish species and choose how it will adapt to its very own environment. Free activity. Bookings not required.

13 - 28 April, 10am - 2pm

Join us for the fun and fast-paced game of Adaptations Hot Seat – where only the strongest will survive! See if you can guess what type of adaptation is being described. Will it be camouflage - the way an animal blends into its own environment so it can’t be seen? There will be plenty of clues to help you find the answer – and you can always phone a friend. Free activity. Bookings.

13 - 28 April, 10am - 2pm

A little bird told us that this will be one of the most fun school holiday activities in April! Did you know that not all birds eat the same food? Have some fun with our friendly staff and see if you can pick which type of food each species of bird can eat. Free activity. Bookings not required.
