WA PREMIERE
Set in a stage hypnotist's act, An Oak Tree is a vivid and absurdly comic play performed by two actors, one of whom will never have seen or read a word of the play they're in... until they're in it!
A moving, brave and challenging story about suggestion and the power of the mind, An Oak Tree will feature 2008 Equity Guild Award-winner Luke Hewitt (Speed-The-Plow) in the role of the Hypnotist.
An exploration of the moment of discovery, An Oak Tree contains the breathless balance of accessible narrative, complex idea, rich theatricality and broad humour which characterises playwright Tim Crouch's work.
An Oak Tree features a cast of special guests including some of Perth’s finest actors and favourite personalities. Rumours are rife. What popular local names will complete the twenty-three member guest cast? When will they take to the stage? No two performances will ever be the same, and judging from what we’ve got in store, you’ll probably want to see each show!
