Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival

PERTH CHUNG WAH CULTURAL FESTIVAL 12-18 MAY 2019

The Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival is a showcase of Western Australian Chinese culture and tradition, set in Burswood Park on the banks of the beautiful Swan River from 12 May to 18 May 2019.

FREE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - MARKETS, ACTIVITIES, EXHIBITIONS & PERFORMANCES

Beginning with a spectacular dragon boat race and finishing with a lantern festival and lotus flower ceremony, the 7-day festival is a great way for everyone to experience ancient Chinese culture. During the festival, Burswood Park will be transformed into a thriving market with activities, performances and food stalls. Children will have the opportunity to learn traditional skills including kite and lantern building. An exhibition of Chinese art and Australian Chinese History will be displayed at Crown Perth from 12 to 18 May.

FILM FESTIVAL – Ticketed event
The popular Golden Koala Film Festival returns to Perth and will feature Chinese films at the Burswood Outdoor Cinema. This is a ticketed event with all profits going to Telethon.
