Broadcaster, design guru and comic Tim Ross checks into MOTEL 1979 to mark AGWA 40 – the celebration of the Brutalist building opened 40 years ago.

The chances are in 1979 if you went on an Aussie holiday at the end of the 70s you would have checked into that other Brutalist ‘icon; the Motel. Join Tim and Kit Warhurst for their brand new live show, the follow up to their award winning Man About the House show, premiered to acclaim recently in Sydney. Step inside the original condition 1979 Brutalist building – Art Gallery WA, for a nostalgic, thought provoking and funny exploration of Australian brutal architecture and holidays of the past. Using storytelling and song they will take you on a sentimental motel journey.
