Oklahoma! at His Majesty's Theatre

Oklahoma! takes place at the turn of the twentieth century between the Oklahoma land rushes in 1889 and 1893, and statehood in 1907. Laurey, a spunky girl who runs her aunt's farm, is courted by two very different young mean: Curly, a brash cowhand, and Jud, a surly, pathological farmhand. Her journey to find the man of her dreams and the satisfaction of settling down with the right one underscores the journey of the territory towards progress, community and stakehood.
The lead role of Curly has gone to West Australian Academy of Performing Arts’, Drew Weston (the role that made Hugh Jackman, also a WAAPA graduate, a star) along with Meghan O’Shea as Laurey and Ben Hudson as Jud. The 16 member cast includes Analisa Bell, Maree Cole, Sam Devenport, Sherry-Anne Hayes, Tobias Madden, Anthony Pepe and Anna Tsirigotis.
