No Culture Icons - Foto Freo Fringe
The upcoming photography exhibition "No Culture Icons" in association with the 2010 Foto Freo Fringe Festival presents the first international debut of No Culture Icons Australia.
This is a exclusive opportunity to see a selected showcase of new photo based works by 18 leading local and international artists from Australia, Europe, China and the United States. Including works from Charlie Engman (USA), Jon Stanley Austin (UK), Mikhail Wassmer (Germany), Jia Zhu (China), Nat Urazmetova (Russia), T Reilly Hodgson (Canada), Jackson Eaton (AU) and Alistair Dickinson (AU).
The aim is to introduce talented emerging photographers from various ethos and to share their works in a physical form to inspire and inform the public of current global perceptions. The project explores the intimate interests of communication between public and private spaces within the realms of contemporary art. It is an original and comparative view of our times by the new generation of talented international photographers.
The No Culture Icons Collective (Australia) exhibition launches 7pm Wednesday, 24th of March upstairs at the Il Cibo Cafe (2 Market Street Fremantle, Western Australia) and is running 10am - 4pm from the 25th - 28th of March, sponsored by the Settlers Ridge Winery, Il Cibò Cafe and TOPPRINT. The exhibition will then be touring throughout the United Kingdom with Liam Henry (founder of the No Culture Icons Collective) on dates soon to be released.
