Direct from a sell-out season at the 2011 Amsterdam Fringe Festival, The Blue Room Theatre Summer Nights in association with PICA are proud to welcome the Australian premiere of the multiaward winning and controversial South African play ...miskien from 14 February 2012 as part of FRINGE WORLD 2012.
Performed in English and Afrikaans, …miskien is the story of two guys: best friends, both stuck in similar dead-end jobs and nondescript lives, waiting for Happy Hour at the end of each day to drag them unceremoniously into the next.
“…leaves one speechless and hardly daring to breathe” - The Cape Times
It’s a comedy that takes itself seriously, both full of bravado and surprisingly intimate, and is winner of the 2010 Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award for Theatre at the National Arts Festival, Grahamstown; and Best Production at the 2011 Clover Aardklop Nasionale Kunstefees in Amsterdam.
Directed by the award-winning Tara Louise Notcutt, and featuring founding members of The Pink Couch Albert Pretorius and Gideon Lombard, ...miskien is an Australian FRINGE WORLD premiere not to be missed.
“an altogether fine theatrical experience – one which is worthy of its acclaim” fringereview.co.uk
