Kinetic Carnival 2010

Come one come all and join the carnival!

This is a WORLD FIRST film event, Kinetic Carnival is pioneering the evolution of film as a concept, not just a medium.

Presenting a fresh film event to Perth’s usual screen culture calendar. Kinetic Carnival aims to create a diverse event that focuses on exhibiting innovative works and present new screening concepts. The program will be made up of modern and historical content with featured West Australian components. The carnival operates unlike traditional film festivals by utilising unique spaces in various locations in the city. It also featuring local, interstate and international filmmakers, aficionados, archivists and practitioners whom most are premiering their exiting and unique works to Perth audiences.

Thursday 1st April
Shorts Fools and Ghouls. Opening Night – Free at the Northbridge Piazza. 7pm

Opening night party – City Farm, East Perth. 18+ only.

Friday 2nd April
Tomas Ford – Electro Disco Showman. 8pm

Saturday 3rd April
Meet the Film Freaks. City Farm. 1pm- 3pm.
Freaks Geeks and Almost X Rated Peeks + Synchromysticism: Decoding Mainstream Cinema. City Farm. 8pm.
Australian Avant Garde Program. City Farm. 10pm.

Sunday April 4th
VJ Playground. Secret location TBA. 8pm.

Monday April 5th
Intangible Asset No 82 (WA Premier). The Empyrean. 8pm
Closing Night Party. Ellington Jazz Club.

$15 per show or $25 per an evening (door sales only).
