Holy Fuck - The Bakery

This event has passed!

HOLY FUCK (Canada)
With special guests Usurper of Modern Medicine, Naik and DJs Shannon Fox and Jamie Macdonald

We often say casually that bands are “awesome” without thinking about the true meaning of the word – Holy Fuck actually inspire awe. - Pitchfork

Energetic Canadian noisemakers Holy Fuck bring their unstoppable juggernaut of all-live electronic freak-outs to The Bakery on Friday, November 18. The Toronto four-piece eschew laptops and backing tracks in favour of live instruments, bringing a level of energy, soul and immediacy to their performance that few electronic artists can match.

While their last album, Latin, gives audiences a taste of Holy Fuck’s driving, focused-yet-fucked-up sound, it’s in a live setting that the band really display the jaw-dropping energy and excitement that has earned them so much critical praise. Holy Fuck have the ability to unite a dance floor into a single-minded, seething mess with their energy and pure love of music.
Now with a stable touring line-up, Holy Fuck combine a rock-solid rhythm section with a ducking and weaving jumble of noise and melody to produce a chaotic mixture of sound that is intense, challenging and just damn good fun. It’s almost scientifically impossible not to love this band.
Supports come from the always-brilliant Usurper of Modern Medicine and prog-hop hero Naik, as well as DJs Shannon Fox and Jamie Macdonald.

Tickets on sale from lifeisnoise.com, Now Baking, Heatseeker, 78 Records, Mills and Planet for $32+bf.
