As part of the program to promote a diverse range of arts, <a href="http://www.beyondtheplan.com.au/en/WA-Metro/Ellenbrook/Ellenbrook-Arts/">Ellenbrook Arts</a> is excited to present <a href="http://www.beyondtheplan.com.au/en/Ellenbrook-Arts/The-Ellenbrook-Festival/">the Ellenbrook Festival</a>. The program over this five week period will encompass a diverse range of events:<br />
<br />
Treasures from Tarrawarra Museum of Art<br />
<br />
At the heart of this first festival is a major exhibition in The Gallery. Entitled “Treasures from Tarrawarra Museum of Art” it will feature 20 pieces from the private collection of Tarrawarra Museum of Art in Victoria, which houses some of the best of modern Australian art. <br />
<br />
With names such as Fred Williams, Arthur Boyd, Rosalie Gascoigne, Ian Fairweather, Margaret Preston, Joy Hester, Sam Fullbrook and Charles Blackman, this exhibition is going to attract a lot of attention in Perth. Many of these works have never been seen in Perth. It is scheduled to run from 24 October through to the end of November. <br />

Multicultural Festival – 25th October 2009<br />
<br />
A vibrant swirl of performances from around the world, together with Aboriginal dance and art workshops, together with a range of activities for children.<br />
<br />
<br />
Market Day – 15th November 2009<br />
<br />
A day to bring together the cultural of our local Swan Valley, together with artisans from around Perth. Included will be food suppliers book fair and artisan stalls selling locally made jewellery, art and crafts pieces. Other attractions include organic food and children’s workshops.<br />
<br />
Upstart Theatre production 20 and 21st November 2009<br />
<br />
Upstart Theatre production group will produce Shakespeare’s Othello in the Woodlake Amphitheatre, overlooking the lake – a perfect event to bring a picnic along and enjoy the local ambiance.<br />
<br />
End of Festival Music – 28th November 2009<br />
<br />

Other activities<br />
<br />
In addition to the above include workshops focussed around the gallery exhibition, Upstart Theatre, a recycled art project, Exhibition tours, tours of the extensive public art located in Ellenbrook and workshops integrated into the events themselves.</p>
