EARTH - Blue Room Theatre

A collage of post-teenage questioning and ego roller coasters, EARTH is the creation of nine young Western Australian artists.

Eight performers from the WA Youth Theatre Company (WAYTCo) have been developing alter egos through online blogs, examining the notion of Earth from a contemporary youth perspective.

Under the direction of Jeffrey Jay Fowler, a recent graduate of NIDA’s Director’s course, the blogs and characters were brought to the rehearsal room, cut to pieces and pasted back together to form EARTH: a collage of post-teenage questioning and alter-ego roller coasters. Precariously pious while stunningly silly; simple in design but impossible to execute; sexy, young and full of hunger; EARTH is a show which simply searches to understand itself.

EARTH features Siobhan Crabb, Cody Fern, Liam Graham, Megan Hollier, Alex Malone, Iskandar Sharazuddin, Thomas James Vowles and Lauren Lloyd Williams. It is the first in a trilogy of new works for WAYTCo, Earth, Wind and Fire.
