Discover Desalination Open Day

Find out how our salty seawater is turned into Perth's drinking water at the new Desal Discovery Centre's first public Open Day.

Guided tours of the new water science attraction at Murdoch University's Rockingham campus will include a 3D movie of the desalination process, a tour of the new pilot testing facility and some 'hands-on' science performing a membrane autopsy in a state-of-the-art Edulab.

There will also be a taste test challenge to see if visitors can tell the difference between desalinated and non-desalinated water.
