Cookbook author Tenina Holder to teach Perth cooks how to ‘Cook once, Eat twice’

Bestselling cookbook author and recipe developer Tenina Holder will teach Perth cooks how to save time and money with her ‘Cook Once, Eat Twice’ cooking classes launching in March.

With over a decade of experience teaching keen home cooks, Tenina’s published titles include For Food’s Sake, Keeping it Simple, The Convenient Vegetarian, Cooking with Tenina and Tenina’s America.

The cooking classes will be held Wednesday March 13, Thursday March 14 and Saturday March 16 at Kitchen Warehouse in Malaga, and will cover nine family favourites such as a slow lamb roast with rosemary and orange, and chocolate caramel cake.

Tenina said the interactive demonstrations will be designed to teach Western Australian cooks how to cleverly utilise the same ingredients to make two meals, in an effort to save time and money.

“It’s not just about serving the same meal twice, but using the same ingredients to make two flavoursome meals, with half the fuss,” she said.

“Walnut taco mince can make taco bowls on the first night and delicious loaded potatoes on the second night.”

“It’s about saving time and money and having two meals whilst only cooking once.”

Tenina’s cooking demonstrations are back after popular demand, with WA cooks keen for classes that steer away from ‘clean’ eating or the latest fad diet, but instead focus on embracing quality, affordable ingredients and using easily demonised ingredients such as butter, sugar and salt.

For those who attend the cooking classes, a mini cookbook with the featured recipes, a take home goodie bag and an exclusive shopping experience will be offered.
