Baysie Arts and Street Fest

The inaugural Baysie Arts and Street Fest will transform King William St and surrounds into a hive of activity on Sunday March 31. Coordinated by community group Baysie Rollers, the free event will celebrate Bayswater’s unique heritage, creativity and culture.

Come along and dance to musicians performing on the verges and verandas of heritage homes, wander through handpicked artisan stalls and our backyard record fair, get your fix from the many food trucks and pop-up craft beer and wine bars hosted by local newbie King Somme; learn how to play the ukulele or upcycle an old t-shirt in our all-ages DIY workshops; bring your furry bestie to enter the dog show; have fun on fair rides; and peruse the art exhibition.

As the sun goes down, an awe-inspiring twilight lantern parade will journey through the town centre accompanied by the Junkadelic brass band, Yaolin dragon dancers and students from our three local primary schools, capping off the night with a fireworks display and concert by three-time WAMI Indigenous Act of the Year Award winner, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse.

Yep – it’ll be a jam-packed arvo of fun for the whole fam. It all kicks off on King William Street, Bayswater from 2pm – 8pm.
