Barefaced Stories - Blue Room - Fringe World

Perthʼs premier storytelling night Barefaced Stories is returning to where it all began, The Blue Room Theatre Summer Nights, from 31 January as part of FRINGE WORLD 2012.

Following a massive first year playing to full houses at The Bird, Barefaced returns to The Blue Room Theatre for a six-part performance series featuring recent graduates from workshops with LA-based storyteller, writer and performer Brian Finkelstein.

Each night will feature a different line-up of fresh faces and old favourites delivering true life tales straight from the heart.

Producers and MCs of Barefaced Stories Andrea Gibbs and Kerry OʼSullivan have been thrilled to see the night grow from humble beginnings (fundraising sausage sizzles outside Bunnings!) to a much-loved Perth performance event, from sellout shows, to Perthʼs first Story Battle, to storytellers performing with top local musicians.

Storytellers in this season will spend a month honing their skills with Emmy Award-nominated writer and performer Brian Finkelstein, regular contributor to The Moth in Los Angeles and writer for the Ellen DeGeneres Show and Late Night with Conan OʼBrien.
