Aslam Khan comes from five generations of musicians, his grandfather was the court musician for the last mogul emperor of Hyderabad. Aslam’s family play the sarangi; the 39-string haunting bowed violin of Northern India. As India's young sarangi maestro, he has taken his family tradition to the highest level, studying with India's greatest sarangi player, Sabri Khan, and touring India, Japan, China and France. Aslam will be accompanied by Indian tabla player, Gurpreet Singh.
